FORTITUDE
“The strength of character, of mind that enables a person to endure pain or adversity with courage.”
The word Fortitude is derived from the Latin “fortis”
meaning strong, powerful, vigorous, steadfast, courageous, and brave
This is my third attempt at writing something! Then it dawned on me, it is not about me;
Listen to the Spirit.
I want to focus on Jesus, He is preparing for His return to Jerusalem, His glorious and triumphant
return, Hearing praises of Hosanna, Hosanna in the Highest!
Yet knowing full well what He will face in the week ahead. He was steadfast even to the end.
Is there any greater clarity of His love for us, His strength of character, His courage, His obedience?
I leave you with:
“The very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the
trees and strewed them on the road. The crowds preceding him and those following kept
crying out and saying: “Hosanna” to the Son of David; Blessed is he who comes in the name
of the Lord. Hosanna in the Highest.” ~Matthew 21:8-9
Lord Jesus, may I have the same courage to always surrender my life to you!
