“The Word” Day 3: Pray

February 20, 2026

PRAY

“To address God with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving.”

I like to think that I prayed like this all the time, seems as though most of the time in my life
I was asking for something or asking for forgiveness for something.
I have so enjoyed the change in my prayer life, where I can sit in adoration, pray and then listen.
Listening is a big part of prayer for me.
There are days I can’t wait to pray; never thought I would be saying that!
I still do the asking and forgiveness, and I am surprised how the fruits are
very different for those prayers today vs the past.
But the real joy comes from the prayers of Thanksgiving, how abundant and loving is our God?

Which reminds me of this bible passage,

“Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:12)

Isn’t it nice to know that we all have a direct line to God, and He never hangs up.
Abba, thank you for your patience with me!
