HOLY
“Having a divine quality.” "Exalted or worthy of complete devotion as one perfect in goodness and righteousness.”
In the New Testament, the word for holy is “hagios” and means set apart, reverend, sacred, and worthy of veneration.”
Wow, we talk about being “holy”, those are big shoes to fill.
Especially when you recognize the importance placed on our God, by what is written in the Bible.
“God is holy, holy, holy.”
This is the only attribute of God that is mentioned in the Scriptures three times!
Ah! But take heart because we are called to be as holy as we can. After all we are made in the image and likeness of God.
“You shall be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:15:16)
“Be holy because I, the Lord your God am holy” (Leviticus 19:2)
Abba, Father, have mercy on me a sinner thru your love and mercy let me seek holiness
