Be Who God Created YOU to Be...
The “Bee” represents the simplest reminder to STOP and “bee” nothing more than what you were created to be. In the busyness of our days we need visuals that help us to know God is with us ALWAYS and will not let us fall, but rather SOAR if we can allow Him to work through us. So stop and pray “LET ME BE…”
Many people ask me “What’s with the bee for your logo?”… so I thought it only appropriate to share the story with you so that you may have a better understanding of its TRUE significance.
First let’s start with the tagline of “Let Me Be…”; but I will keep a long story short. It became the basis of my ministry while praying on silent retreat. I realized that the Lord was speaking to me directly and telling me “Stop the prayer of wanting to be something you are not and be nothing more than what I created you to be.” I had to stop dead in my tracks and realize that I was trying too hard to be someone and something I was created to be.
With that said, a fifteen years ago while giving a talk locally and telling my own personal story, I discussed the importance of the “Let Me Be…” attitude in prayer. A few months later my wife was at our children’s school and a woman came up to her that was at my presentation. The woman just wanted to say how inspired she was by what I spoke about the day she was at the talk. She revealed a “bumble bee” charm that was on her bracelet and said that it was a constant reminder to “Just Be…” and that each day she would look at it and take a moment for herself.
Well, I liked the idea of a constant reminder for not only myself, but those I am able to share my message with. After hooking up with a great graphic artist the bee was born and is now the most important visual component of what “Let Me Be…” means to the lives I am able to touch. Now you will see it on all my promotional items from collateral to t-shirts as a reminder to go out in the world and “Just Be…”
