Welcome to the first session of the RESTORE monthly access area. In GETTING STARED, let's walk before we run, and commit to working together with those we love to share this faith journey as one.

Our featured videos focus on what life is like without God. Many times we end up shutting Him out of our daily living... we miss the times God is working to show us He is with us and wants to be part of everything we do. No matter what our roles are and no matter our age, gender, or understanding of what we believe, we have a purpose. Everything begins and ends with our desire to one day get to heaven.

Greg Wasinski, reminds us that when we are having fun in life, there is a chance we can forget about what's important.

What can we agree on to commit to as a family to grow together in faith?

Make a list, or even an agreement of what you will do to grow in faith as a family. Make promises, bold statements, that hold everyone to contribute to the process. Maybe it is the commitment to a simple blessing at night time prayer to each other or additing on to a God focused routine you already are doing.

Some other ideas to put our love for each other into action include:

Make a prayer board and have every member add people they know need to be prayed for or who are struggling with a specific situation. When we pray for others, it invites us into a relationship with God even if we don't have anything to offer for our self.
During family meals, talk about one good thing that happened during the day and also one thing that you wish you could have a "do over" on... this helps us be grateful and examine our conscious.
Bring out your Bible - or at least Google the Bible - This month, each of you should find one verse that has meaning to you at this time. If you have not read much scripture on your own, that's okay. Use google and look up verses that you need to hear... for example you would search for "Scripture verses when struggling" Or while listening to the readings at mass, find the verse that really stuck out that you felt spoke to you. God's word does the unexplainable and speaks truth to us so we can see that God knows our heart... long before we were born.

Dear Lord, thank you for our family and help us to love you more together. We know that each of us have different things that scare us, good things that happen for us, and many things we all need to work on and let you be part of, give us the courage to let you be part of everything in our life. Help all of us be kind to one another in our home and be open to the ways we can help each other with all their needs. Even if we fall short, may our desire to grow in faith be a guiding light that can lead us all through the good and the bad. In Jesus name we pray... AMEN
