GRACE
“A virtue coming from God” - “a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance.” “Unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification.”
Wow, kind of sums it up for me.
We have all been given His grace since our baptism, it was our job
to grow with it. Being a flawed human, I kind of lost it from time to time, but
through His love for me it was freely given again. Actually, it never stopped, I just didn’t receive it.
God is loving to us and wants the best for our lives. Simply put – Grace is the
unmerited, unearned love and favor of God!
I have been amazed at the number of people I have met in life, that this virtue was
so evident in them, they glowed, yet they were humble and perhaps oblivious to it.
Now that is a state of sanctification.
There are many beautiful Bible passages on Grace, this one spoke best to me.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)
Jesus, let me be drenched in your grace!
