SURRENDER
“To give oneself up into the power of another.”
I was reflecting on this word and thinking about the impact it has on one’s life.
Then I remembered when Jesus surrendered to His Father on Holy Thursday.
“And going a little farther, He threw Himself on the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it possible, let this cup pass from me; yet not what I want but what you want.” (Matthew 26:39)
I am not sure that I have given everything over to the Father!
I know that there were times I put everything in His hands, especially when I needed Him.
Somehow the things of this world continue to distract me, and I slowly let myself drift at times.
I suppose I just need to surrender over and over until I get it right.
“Abba, Father…. open me up to full and complete surrender”
